Cristiano Ronaldo’s future is currently uncertain, with several potential paths ahead as he approaches the end of his playing career. He recently confirmed that Euro 2024 would be his final European Championship, leaving questions about his next professional steps.

At the club level, Ronaldo is contracted with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia until June 2025, but there have been discussions about a possible new deal extending his career until the 2026 World Cup. Despite this, his options for a move seem limited. Clubs like Napoli, Atletico Madrid, and Bayern Munich have shown past interest but are not currently pursuing him. Similarly, Chelsea was previously linked, but their new management appears uninterested.

There are some other possibilities:

  • Sporting CP: His former club in Portugal, where he began his professional career, remains an option. His mother has expressed a desire for him to return to Lisbon.
  • Newcastle United: With their Saudi ownership, they have the financial means to make a move for Ronaldo, though no concrete offers have been reported.
  • MLS Clubs: Major League Soccer, particularly Inter Miami, has been mentioned as a potential destination, aligning with the trend of top players finishing their careers in the United States.

Overall, while Ronaldo has multiple potential paths, no definitive decision has been made public yet, and his future remains a subject of much speculation and interest.
