Former DP Rigathi Gachagua In Laikipa Today

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is expected to pitch camp in Laikipia County today. The former second in command will be hosted by former Laikipia Woman MP, Cate Waruguru, at PCEA Matanya Church.

This comes a day after Pastor Dorcas Rigathi’s prayer event was disrupted by former Mukingi leader, Maina Njenga, armed with a gang of youth. The incident happened in Nyeri at the Kamukunji Stadium where Gachagua’s spouse led prayers.

Condeming the incident, Gachagua took to his X account to condemn the violence and point an accusing finger at the government: “Unleashing the leader of an outlawed criminal gang and his goons to disrupt peaceful prayers and desecrate the altar is the lowest any government can go, no matter the level of desperation,” Gachagua stated.

TikTok Goes “Dark” in the United States of America Ahead of Ban

As it was earlier passed by members of Congress, TikTok has gone offline as a new law banning the platform was coming into effect.

USA users had “you can’t use TikTok for now” messages appearing on the app meaning the law had been enacted.

The app had also been removed from both Apple and Google’s US app stores and TikTok.com was not showing any videos.

The platform had given earlier warnings that it would “go dark” on Sunday unless the outgoing Biden administration overturns the ban.

President-elect Donald Trump promised to give TikTok a 90-day reprieve from the ban once he is sworn in Monday. “The 90-day extension is something that will be most likely done, because it’s appropriate,” Trump told NBC News on Saturday. He will give an official statement on Monday after his swearing in.

How To Upgrade Your Wardrobe

Everyone deserves to look good and feel fabulous but sometimes we fall short of budget, and cannot afford to buy expensive outfits. Here’s a cheat sheet of 5 hacks to get you looking like a royalty without blowing away money:

  1. Choose dark fabrics over light ones. Dark colors the quality or how expensive (or inexpensive) the material is, instantly upping your wardrobe up a notch higher.
  2. Change cheap zippers or buttons. Replace cheap zippers for quality ones or swap plastic buttons for glass or metal ones. It’s a really simple trick to instantly make your outfit look of a  higher quality.
  3. Tailor your clothing. Buy cheaply and spend the extra money you save in fittings. A good fit is worth more than a luxury brand name.
  4. Accessorize. Invest your cash in jewelry if your wardrobe to make up for the quality department. It doesn’t always have to be jewellery, throw in a belt, a statement handbag, a gorgeous pair of sunglasses or a hat makes your outfit look more expensive.
  5. Color-coordinate. Planned outfits do wonders in upping the quality factor of your attire. Stick to shades that complement each other. Muted colors and select animal prints or abstract patterns can look very expensive together.

Ditch stained or worn out clothing, shine your shoes & iron your clothes. Embellished items are not a good pick, stick to classic and crisp pieces which are way easier to work with.
