Political aspirations have been made public by activist Kasmuel McOure, who is well-known for his participation in anti-government and anti-Finance Bill 2024 demonstrations. In an interview with KISS FM, McOure reaffirmed his ambition to run in the general election of 2027 and stated that he wants to be the politician he sees himself as. When asked which seat he would be running for, McOure stated that he would either look for an executive job in Nairobi or at the federal level, or he would look for a place in the legislative chamber. He said that he is actively participating in the protests because he wants to see changes made to the nation’s political structure.

The statement was made at the right time as many people have been wondering what will be the end game of the budding activist who has shown that he can use his voice and influence to pass the message to the government as well as mobilize people to stand for their rights through organization of demonstrations. Kasmuel McOure is also very vocal on social media platforms like Twitter as well as eloquent when being interviewed on television. Many people were anticipating that McOure would soon make a shot at one of the political posts in the country but they did not expect him to make the announcement this quickly. We are yet to know the post he will choose as well as the area he will choose to represent.
This comes weeks after Kasmuel McOure rushed in middle of the night of July 17th 2024 to DCI offices midst threats on his life. McOure announced on his X (formerly Twitter) account at approximately 11:04 p.m. that he was going to the DCI because he felt endangered and had allegedly received credible threats against his life. Later, McOure provided an update, stating that they were told not to spend the night in the DCI headquarters and that he and his friends were instead to report to the Muthaiga Police Station.
Great content.
