The parents from Homa Bay were astonished to a section of students at Secondary School in Karachuonyo constituency when they stormed the school to demand the ejection of the school principal because of poor management of the school as well as poor performance in the national examinations. Unlike many other places where such advances by parents are usually successful, the Homa Bay parents were shocked to find that their kids had different ideas.

The agitated parents were reportedly infuriated by the Ministry of Education’s decision to change the school’s principal and hence decided to remove the new school head from the office forcefully. Their decision was not welcomed by the students as they turned on them with batons and whips that left most of the writhing in pain and agony.

Principal Jackton Ogaga said that after sending the parents to the village, the pupils came back to the school’s grounds. He claimed that the parents’ constant mocking and slinging of expletives at him caused most of the youngsters to become angry.
