Popular socialite and Tanzanian beauty Hamisa Mobetto has officially announced her upcoming wedding. The businesswoman, who is Diamond Platnumz’s baby mama, is tying the knot with Burkinabé footballer Aziz Ki. Ki is also the leading scorer at top flight Young Africans Football Club (Yanga) in Tanzania.

The footballer also has a daughter, whom he’s very close with, and regulary posts pictures celebrating her. The two went public in January last year, and things have escalted quickly. The wedding, according to their joint Instagram post, will be a three-day wedding affair, from February 15th to February 17th.

Aziz Ki has helped his club secure their third successive Tanzanian league title and reach the CAF Champions League quarter-final. Many fans suspect that his love for Mobetto led him to decline a $440,000 per year transfer offer to Algerian club CR Bel, to maintain a closer relationship with his soon-to-be wife. Aziz Ki chose to renew his contract with Young Africans in July 2024 for two more years.

A Group of Youths Arrested for Heckling President Ruto

A group of 50 youths were arrested and charged with being drunk and disorderly during a security operation in Isiolo Town on Friday and Saturday.

The youth heckled President William Ruto during his visit to Isiolo something that didn’t sit well with him. The Head of State was un the county to launch development projects, before the hecklers interrupted his address.

They were to court before Magistrate Maureen Odhiambo on Monday afternoon. After pleading guilty tto the charges, the magistrate discharged them with a warning not to repeat the offense. According to her, the charges were minor, and under section 35. The were let go without a fine.

Smirti Virdyarthi Leaves NTV After More Than 15 Years

After spending 17 years with Nation Media Group, Smirti is among the top and most experienced news anchors in Kenya.

Smriti Vidyarthi was a news anchor and presenter of ‘NTV Weekend Edition’, ‘NTV Tonight’ bulletins. The soft-spoken host also presented ‘NTV Wild Talk’, a wildlife conservation program focused on wild animals,  and conserving the environment.

Her media journey started at K24 TV in January 2008, as a news anchor at the Mediamax Limited for 8 months. She left the station, a few months later, in September 2008.

The 2013 Media Council’s Annual Journalism Excellence Award, is yet to announce her next move. will join a rival station or not.
