Yesterday, January 25th, 2025, at a local Jubilee leaders meeting in Narok, Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, endorsed Fred Matiang’i for the top seat.

Kioni, who speaks on behalf of the party, asked its grassroot leaders, to start early mass grassroots registration of Jubilee party members.
“We as the Jubilee party have our own candidate, Fred Matiang’i. He will face off with other candidates to ensure President William Ruto goes home. You have to start registrations and send the message to the people and we don’t want fights,” Kioni remarked.
Statehouse Gets a New Look After Roof Refurbishment by Ruto
Netizens are divided over Statehouse’s new look as several pictures from the President’s team were shared on Saturday, January 25, 2025. The pictures feature Guinea-Bissau’s President Umaro Sossoco visit, where the new roof can be seen in the background.
The triangular red roof has been taken down and it looks very minimalistic, coupled with a fresh white paint job, which adds to its general stately aesthetic. Other renovations like a reinforced wall, side walks and interiors are ongoing.
Built in 1907, the house was initially Sir Edward Gregg’s residence, the governor of Kenya during the colonial period. The iconic house would later be adopted as the residence for Kenya’s heads’ of state post-independence.

Awicko Woud Nyapala, an afro-benga artist has come out in a video to appeal for financial help from fans to make ends meet.

Awicko, who is married with 2 kids, says he been in a financial rut for a while now owing to lack of shows and earning very little royalties from his music. He is therefore unable to support his family as well.

Ruto Hosts African Heads of State to Push For Raila’s AUC Bid
Presidents Taye Atseke (Ethiopia), Azali Assoumani (Comoros), Faure Gnassinge (Togo), John Mahama (Ghana), Joao Lourenco (Angola) and Umaro Sissaco (Guinea Bissau) have confirmed attendance for today’s heads of state retreat to be hosted by President Ruto.
Sissoco arrived in Kenya on Friday, Mahama arrived on Sunday and more are expected to jet in. Outgoing AUC chairman Moussa Faki will also be attending.
The meeting, happening today, main agenda is to drum support for its AUC candidate Raila Oding among other issues. Raila has been crisscrossing Africa ahead of the February 15, 2025 elections.
